To me, that was a good model and rule and one which LNFs should support. The issue to me is without that you can not create your UI off the EDT then display it on it. One where LNFs define themselves as being thread safe or not perhaps for creation off the EDT. Then folks can decide for themselves which LNF to use based on that type criteria.
